Clients accountant wants me to post end of year adjustments, one of which is to the current year earnings.
This doesn't seem possible - am i missing something?

You can't post directly to the equity account labelled current earnings as this is a system account. Use an account from the income statement, such as an 'other income' or 'other expense' account, which you could create for the purpose.
